Please also familiarize yourself with the updated federal泭. Oklahoma ABLE Tech also offers泭泭you can泭utilize.泭
Captions, Links & Hashtags泭
Captions should be written in clear, straightforward language that is easy to understand for a broad audience.泭Complex terminology should be avoided when possible.泭Captions should use proper grammar,泭punctuation泭and spelling. For digital and web content, 91腦瞳 follows泭泭
Emojis should only be used at the end of sentences.泭Avoid repetitive emoji use. Avoid泭special character泭fonts or platform bold泭formatting,泭for泭screen readers may skip or misread those elements entirely. Do not use emojis to replace certain letters or words in your captions.泭
If your caption includes a link, make sure the text preceding it is descriptive about the泭links泭destination. For example:泭
- Bad
儭:泭URL - Good
Buy tickets:泭URL - Better
Buy tickets for the Presidents Scholarship Gala:泭URL泭
Additionally,泭links should not be excessively long.泭If the page you are linking to has a long泭URL, you can use泭a泭free泭URL泭shortener such as泭泭or泭.泭
DO NOT include links in Instagram captions. Instead, you can add a link in your profiles page information and include link in my bio in the caption.泭
When using hashtags, make sure to use泭camel泭case.泭Camel泭case is when you capitalize泭the first letter in each word of a hashtag. For example, use #WeRoar instead of #weroar.泭泭
Photos & Graphics泭
When posting photos and graphics, always泭include泭alt text descriptions of what the image or graphic depicts.泭
- 泭
- 泭
- 泭
- 泭
Alt text descriptions should give a clear, meaningful description of what an image depicts, including relevant context or humor that adds to泭the泭post’s泭message.泭Keep the description simple and泭focus on the most泭important elements泭first.泭Do not use flowery language.泭
- Bad泭example:
A泭hard-working泭student studies on a bench while enjoying a sunny day on campus.
- Good泭example:
A student sitting on a bench while reading.泭
Ideally,泭alt text泭descriptions should be under 100 characters or about 25 words.泭You do not need泭to泭include泭the words image of, picture of or graphic of as screen readers will already include that when reading alt text.泭
When泭possible, avoid embedding text directly into images. When text must be included in a graphic, include the information泭in your泭posts泭caption, too. Additionally, add the text to the alt text description.泭
Text in graphics must follow the universitys brand guidelines泭regarding泭fonts泭and colors.泭Text color combinations must provide sufficient color contrast to ensure legibility.泭
You should always run your graphics through an accessibility checker before posting.泭Consider adding泭泭to your泭AdobeExpress泭account泭or using an online visual accessibility泭checker like泭泭
Videos泭
You must include closed captions on all videos. Your captions should follow along accurately with any speaking parts,泭identify泭the speaker, and include descriptions of meaningful sounds such as music泭or cheering.泭
